An event of interest to members was held at the Smith Museum in Stirling from 1st December to 27th April 2008. Entitled "Publishing Scotland - the Stirling Press of Eneas Mackay" this exhibition covered the work of one of the retailers of Mauchlineware. Some 24 members attended this meeting which commenced with a fascinating talk on advertising on Mauchlineware by Jane Bowen with help from Ian McFeeters, all backed up with displays by members. Following this we walked the few steps down the High Street to Bonhams Saleroom to view the annual Sewing Sale. This contained the last few lots from the collection of our late Secretary, Barry Kottler, as well as plenty more Mauchline. Robert Bleasdale and his team had laid on an excellent buffet lunch for us, enjoyed sitting on and at future auction lots!
