By kind invitation of Bonhams, the Auctioneers, our winter meeting was held at Knowle near Birmingham on Saturday 9th December. Proceedings began with coffee. Members were then able to view the large Mauchline Ware collection of our late member Betty Trull as well as the lots in the annual Bonhams sale of Sewing items which were sold over two days of the following week. Bonhams had generously provided a buffet lunch following which there followed a discussion - When is "Mauchline Ware" not "Mauchline Ware"?

The Committee are already debating the next Convention to be held in 2008. Suggestions as to venue and volunteers to organise or help to organise are sought urgently. Please contact any member of the Committee with your ideas.

The bids are all in and counted and it is already clear that a substantial sum has been raised for the Club from this very generous bequest. A full report appears in the current issue of the Journal.
